Woodrow Wilson Baldwin was born to tough pioneer conditions in the northern Texas panhandle. He grew up poor, in the midst of the Depression and the Dust Bowl. The strengths developed in childhood led to a distinguished academic career and significant contributions to society. He taught as a Professor at UCLA and as Professor and Department Chair at Simmons College in Boston. He spent 37 years of shared life with his long term partner and founded the Prime Timers organization. Une vie extraordinaire.
